Anthony Edwards As No. 1 Overall Makes Sense For NBA Draft Props
The NBA Draft will take place on June 25 in Brooklyn, New York. At least that’s the plan and with limited sports to bet on, betting on this event is an attractive alternative.
You can find props on who will be selected with each of the top five picks in the NBA Draft. Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball are among the players listed for No. 1 overall pick prop.
There’s a good reason why Anthony Edwards heavily favored to be the No. 1 pick. He averaged 19.1 points and 5.2 rebounds in 33.0 minutes over 32 games as a freshman and made 40.2 percent of his shots, including 50.4 percent of his 2-point attempts.
Edwards has a lot of potential, he is the kind of player who can create his own shot and his length and athleticism should help him improve his defense. The 18-year-old has too much potential. I don’t see whoever wins the draft lottery should passing on him. Right now the Warriors have the best chance to win it and Jake Rill of Bleacher Report has them taking Edwards at No. 1:
“Last year, it was clear that Duke forward Zion Williamson was the consensus top player in the draft class. Edwards’ case isn’t quite as strong, but he’s an exciting prospect who could continue to get better with time and likely has a high ceiling. And if it’s Golden State that selects Edwards, he will be learning from veteran guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, two of the best in the game.”
